General Rules for All Participants and Audience

  1. The OPO III Meeting will take place in Hong Kong, at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, December 15-20, 2008
  2. The theme of this meeting is "Nature, Culture and Existence". Contributions to the meeting may address the general theme from a phenomenological point of view or from the application of phenomenology to different scientific disciplines.
  3. The meeting is open to different Phenomenological Organizations.and related academic institution. They can participate as SPEAKERS or LISTENERS. Speakers and Listeners have right to the meeting materials, to participate at the OPO business meeting and the programmed social activities.
  4. For the General Public, those without an association to OPO, are welcome to register as AUDIENCE. They have the right to the meeting materials.
  5. (A) All Participants MUST REGISTER at the meeting by completing the registration form AND PAYING the corresponding registration fees:

    (This process is designed to encourage early registration, which allows the executive committee to have sufficient time for preparation)

    (B) Audience who would like to get the meeting materials, please take a register and pay US 25 for the registration fee.
  6. The official languages of the Meeting will be English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Papers may be read in any of these languages. Paper must be written in English.

Rules for PAPER PRESENTATION

  1. Presentation time - Speakers are given 30 minutes to present papers, followed by 15 minutes of discussion.
  2. Title and Abstract of papers
    - Must be written in English and sent no later than 15 July 2008.
    - Maximum word of Abstract: 250 words

  3. Format of papers
    - Must be written in English.
    - Submitted in Word format, in 12-point Times New Roman with 1.5 spacing
    - Maximum length: 15 Pages
    - Submission deadline: 15 September 2008

  4. Papers will be printed out as copies and distributed at the meeting.
  5. All papers will be saved in the CD and all participants will be given a CD at the last day of conference.
