Abstract:
According to two widely-held theses, phenomenology is a philosophy of the “subject”, of “consciousness”. And precisely for this reason, Deleuze is supposed not to be a phenomenologist. In this paper, I will set out to refute these two theses, confronting Deleuze and Richir through the prism of the notions of “anarchy” and “sense” and their interrelation. I will argue in favor of a phenomenology of formation of sense, of “Sinnbildung”; and I will try to understand to what extent Deleuze can be said to be a “phenomenologist” – in a sense that will need to be clarified. To this end, I will focus primarily on Deleuze’s und Richir’s magna opera “Logique du sens” (1969) and “Méditations phénoménologiques” (1992).
