简历

Professor Lau received his Bachelor of Engineering in Information Engineering and M.Phil. in Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and PhD in Philosophy from Heidelberg University, Germany. Upon completion of his doctoral degree, he was awarded a research fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and taught briefly at the Institute of Philosophy of Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany. He has been teaching at The Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2004. His research interests include classical German philosophy, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion. He enjoys traveling, football, and various outdoor activities; he is also a paragliding pilot.
