Jim Behuniak is Professor of Philosophy at Colby College. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hawai`i in 2002. His work focuses in the areas of classical Chinese philosophy and American philosophy. He is the author of John Dewey and Daoist Thought: Experiments in Intra-Cultural Philosophy, Vol. 1, John Dewey and Confucian Thought: Experiments in Intra-Cultural Philosophy, Vol. 2 (both SUNY Press, 2019), and Mencius on Becoming Human (SUNY Press, 2005). He is editor of Appreciating the Chinese Difference: Engaging Roger T. Ames on Methods, Issues, and Roles (SUNY Press, 2018). He has authored numerous articles in Chinese and comparative philosophy for edited volumes and for journals such as Philosophy East and West, Dao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy, Journal of Chinese Philosophy, and Asian Philosophy.
